Prior to 1988, the Local was a participant in a Joint Committee with all other campus locals, faculty and staff, in a pooled pension plan. The outcome of negotiations and an OLRB decision saw us able to withdraw from the Joint Committee and University pension plan, and take control of our own plan and funds.
